August 11- August 15th

This is an amazing camp for the young theater kid who wants to learn the proper training of singing and acting!  I teach the  voice and acting techniques for singing, teach general music skills for reading music for the singer, introduce all genres of music including Broadway, classical and pop, and add acting skills to enhance the songs. Students collaborate in solos, duets, and ensemble pieces that include acting scenes and musical theater. We discuss stage etiquette when singing, how to deal with stage fright, and how to strength the voice for both singing and acting.  We will also focus on acting for the singer and will read sides, do scenes study and monologues.  I often add yoga, basic movement and body awareness to this training. One of my most popular camps, we will meet Monday-Friday with a mini-performance at the end of the week showcasing the student’s talents!  We will even have a pizza and ice cream party!
